How It Works
Clemson Tigers vs SMU Mustangs — ACC Championship, December 7, 2024

About This Game
Cade Klubnik arrived at the ACC Championship as a man who'd been given a second chance. Hours after crying in his car following Clemson's bitter loss to South Carolina, he learned that Syracuse's upset of Miami had reopened a path to the title game. By the final second in Charlotte, Klubnik had made the most of that reprieve in spectacular fashion.
The Tigers attacked with controlled fury from the opening kickoff. Clemson's offense carved through SMU's defense early, with Klubnik directing surgical touchdown drives as Bryant Wesco Jr. hauled in two scoring passes in the opening quarter alone. By the end of the first, the Tigers had built a 21-7 cushion and seemed destined for a dominant championship coronation.
But SMU's Kevin Jennings had other plans. The Mustangs refused to fade, with Jennings orchestrating three touchdown passes that steadily clawed the Mustangs back into contention. What had looked like a coronation became a battle. A Jennings touchdown with 16 seconds remaining tied the game at 31, briefly stealing the title. Then Nolan Hauser stepped forward and drilled a 56-yard field goal as the clock hit zero, giving Clemson a dramatic 34-31 victory and a spot in the College Football Playoff. This thrilling ACC Championship—with its dominant opening act, stunning comeback, and walk-off finish—is now available as a custom Gameprint, visualizing every pivotal drive of this unforgettable contest.
Game highlights: Clemson's dominant 21-point opening quarter, Bryant Wesco Jr.'s two first-quarter TD catches, SMU's fourth-quarter comeback led by Kevin Jennings, game-tying TD with :16 left, Nolan Hauser's 56-yard walk-off field goal
