31–44BOWL
About This Game
LSU dominated the first half of the Texas Bowl, with Garrett Nussmeier orchestrating a surgical offensive display while the Tiger defense forced an early turnover that sealed the game's momentum. Nussmeier's three touchdown passes—including a stunning 41-yard strike to Chris Hilton Jr.—built a commanding 34-17 halftime lead that seemed insurmountable. But Baylor refused to fade quietly. Sawyer Robertson, who would finish with a career-high 445 yards, sparked a second-half resurgence with touchdown passes to Josh Cameron and Ashtyn Hawkins, while Dawson Pendergrass pounded the end zone on the ground. A breathtaking 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Zavion Thomas injected hope into the comeback attempt. Yet LSU's defense held firm in the final quarter, weathering Baylor's frantic drives to secure a 44-31 victory that capped a three-game winning streak and sent the Tigers home with momentum. This thrilling bowl battle is now available as a Gameprint—custom wall art that maps every drive's journey across the field.
